Fr. Ciprian Streza

Father Ciprian was born in Romania. He was raised in a priestly family, his father being a priest for more than 42 years.  After attending the local schools, he enrolled in the Faculty of Theology, where he completed two years of theological studies.

In January 2002, he transferred to the Hellenic College in Boston, from which he graduated in May 2005 with the highest distinction. In May 2007, Father Ciprian graduated from Holy Cross School of Theology with high distinction, obtaining a degree in Masters of Divinity.

On July 9, 2005, Father married Sinziana Lavinia Sarbu, who was also born in a priestly family.  In 2006, Presvytera enrolled in Hellenic College, where she graduated with a Bachelor of Arts, with a major in Classic Studies and minor in Elementary Education. Presvytera received her Master’s Degree in Health Education from the University of Cincinnati.  She is currently working as a Registered Nurse in the Intensive Care Unit at Munson Hospital.

On January 14, 2007 Father Ciprian was ordained by Metropolitan Nicholas of Detroit to the holy Diaconate at the chapel of Holy Cross School of Theology in Boston. He served for six months on campus until June 3, 2007 when he was ordained by the same hierarch to the holy Priesthood at Holy Trinity – Saint Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church in Cincinnati, Ohio. On September 1, 2007, Father Ciprian was assigned to the community as the Assistant Priest.

Father Ciprian was assigned as the permanent priest to Archangel Gabriel on June 1, 2011, by His Eminence Metropolitan Nicholas of Detroit.  We are blessed to have Father Ciprian and his family with us!
