    • The Orthodox Church

The Orthodox Christian Church is the original church established by Jesus Christ. It is evangelical, but not Protestant. It is orthodox, but not Jewish. It is catholic, but not Roman. • Our History

What started as a small Orthodox Mission in 1999 has become, by God’s grace, a flourishing Parish, in which everyone is welcomed! We have come a long way and are excited about our future in Traverse City. We are here to serve, witness and share God’s love story with our local community.

    • Clergy and Lay Leadership

The structure of an Orthodox Parish is very well defined. We are under the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of America and Metropolis of Detroit. • What to expect

The visitor to an Orthodox church is usually impressed by the unique features and the external differences between this place of worship and those of the various traditions of Western Christianity. The rich color, distinctive iconography and beauty of the interior of an Orthodox church are in sharp contrast to what one often finds in many Roman Catholic and Protestant churches.
